Fallout 4 Mods

Hello. Here's my mod list for Fallout 4. I thought it'd be fun to share and talk about the mods I'm using. This is not intended to be a guide and I make no promises that it's conflict free.

I don't have EVERY mod listed here. I mostly followed Midnight Ride's list for things like fixes and tweaks. Like I said, this is not intended to be a guide. I just like to ramble.

When it comes to mods that I like to use, I'm an immersive girlie. I like survival and realism mods. I don't care for high res graphics and I prefer for things to feel lore-friendly and intergrate seamlessly with vanilla content. I like harder difficulty but not things that are just bullet sponges and hard for the sake of being hard. I do like cosmetic mods for my character since looking cute is half the fun, but I still ike for my characters to feel like they're apart of the Fallout world so I don't really go for the ultra pretty mods and outfits.

My Character, Eddie

Combat

I'm more of a rpg guy than a FPS guy but I like getting my ass kicked in a lot of games and the more brutal something feels, the better. Fallout 4 is much better in terms of gameplay compared to FO3 but it still feels too easy for me at times and doens’t give me that Wasteland vibe. So I looked for some combat mods.

DirectHit

This mod changes the damage so that hitting armored parts and not armored parts will differ in damage. It seemed like a nice light-weight solution to the mod author's other mod, Better Locational Damage.

Wasteland Ballistics

Overhaul of damage. This mod isn't for everyone. It both makes the game harder and easier. Depends. Headshots now instakill and bullets do most of the damage (making damage perks kind of useless) but I love it so far. I recommend grabbing Wasteland Medic to go with this as you'll need more items that can stop bleeding. (It's also just a good mod.)

Stimpaks Heal No Limbs

A mod to prevent stimpaks from healing your crippled limbs. I preferred back in New Vegas where you had to use a Doctor's Bag or see a doctor. With how many stimpaks in the Wasteland, it made NPC Doctors pretty useless and things way too easy when I could heal my broken legs in an instant.

Untrained Shooter

A really interesting mod that changes the camera controls when shooting. I really like the realistc camera and inertia added, plus finally having the ability to lean/peak around corners while shooting was super welcome.

NPC Accuracy Revised

Revises how accurate enemies are. Finally, because why were bloatflies sniping me?

Addiction Overhaul

Changes how addiction works. It's always annoying when doing like two hits makes you an addict. I mean, that's accurate for some people but gameplay wise it's annoying. I also use Better Chems by the same author.

Content

More Feral Ghouls

Adds more feral ghouls types. This adds hostile children ghouls which I don't think everyone is going to like.

Visuals

Like I said before, I'm not super into super high def epic graphic mods. But I still like things to look nice and I like dressing my character up.

Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-

The most used body (I think. It has the most outfits) and I really like the Bodyslide features. I use my own preset, which I'll upload in case anyone else wants it.

Nuclear Nude

A skin replacer. Really like this one! You can pick from a variety of options and I greatly appreicated the dirty body options for raiders (And the player!) While I think the wastelanders absolutely know how to bathe and I have issue with how dirty and unkempt Bethesda wants it to look, it's still unimmersive when the raiders have squeaky clean bodies. It has a lot of options and looks really good, I highly recommend.

The Eyes Of Beauty Fallout Edition

It has a lot of options, which is nice. I picked alternate textures for the defaults because I don't like super vibrant eye colors, I prefer realistic tones.

The K Makeup

A nice makeup replacement. I really like it. I don't tend to go for the soft and pretty mods but I found this worked really well for my game's vibes regardless.

Hair Tones Redux

Adjusts the default hair colors. I further modified this myself to make the nuka-cola dye hairs less bright.

Ponytail Hairstyles by Azar

Probably the best hair mod. They fit in well with the vanilla hairs and aren't too glam or stiff.

Eli's Armor Compendium

Not super 'lore accurate' but I like it. They fit in well with the game and look pretty cool. It's cool that the items spawn on npcs and can be found, it goes well with my gameplay since I dislike having to go out of my way to find or craft clothing. I especially like the bags.

Reverb and Ambienance Overhaul

I didn't realize how much I liked this. The bullet sounds are so good. There's some parts I dislike but for the most part, it really adds to the experience.

My Mods

Wasteland Girl Body Preset

The body preset I made for Eddy. It lacks curves, no ass, and small boobs. Truly the antithesis to all other presets, lol. There's two presets, one for nude and one for clothed. The main difference is the breast shape, nude has a perky/pointy shape where the clothing is more rounded (and a bit more flat) to make it look more natural. Just pop this in your Bodyslide's preset folder and batch run it to shape the clothes.

The preview image has the body size set in the middle. I usually have Eddie on the thinner-slightly muscular side and it still looks pretty good.
